Big feelings. Busy minds. You don't have to figure it out alone
Why now? Great question.
Because carrying it alone is getting exhausting
Because something changed — and it matters
Because you’re ready for things to feel lighter
About Me, I'm Sal
A mum of teenagers 👩👧👦
(so yes — I speak fluent group chat, late-night debriefs, and the ever-mysterious “nothing’s wrong” 🫠)
A twin sister 👯♀️
A daughter 💛
And the kind of friend people tend to call when life feels a bit wobbly
I’ve lived in Melbourne, Sydney, and London 🌏 —
and for over 25 years I’ve walked alongside young people and families through:
• Anxiety 🌧️
• Grief 🕊️
• Friendship dramas 💬
• Identity stuff 🧭
• Crisis moments 🚨
• Adjustment to big changes
• Life’s tougher seasons 🌿
I’ve worked across Primary Schools, High Schools, hospital settings 🏥 — and more recently, adult mental health too.
Grief is personal for me as well.
During COVID, I lost several loved ones 🤍 —
an experience that quietly reshaped how I understand loss and deepened the way I hold space for grief in my work.
Career highlight?
Supporting the young performers in London’s West End production of Billy Elliot
An unforgettable mix of talent, pressure, big feelings —
and a little backstage magic ✨
Fun fact
I trekked to Everest Base Camp
Equal parts awe, sore legs,
and life perspective 🌄
How I show up
Warm 🤍
Real 🌿
Deeply respectful of every young person’s story 📖

You might be here because
-
You’ve lost someone — recently or a while ago — and it still hurts
-
Your family has changed and nothing feels the same
-
A friendship or relationship ended and you feel lost
-
You feel numb, overwhelmed, or not like yourself
-
Your mind won’t switch off
-
You’re trying to find where you fit
-
You feel like everyone else is coping better than you
-
You are finding it hard to concentrate at work, Uni or school
-
You feel like no one understands you
My approach
I offer a space where you can talk openly — without pressure, judgement, or being told how you should feel.
Sessions are relaxed and shaped around you
There’s no “right way” to do
counselling — and no expectation
to share everything straight away.
Notice what’s going well, and build small ways to make life feel a little more manageable — even when things feel overwhelming
We might talk things through, find ways to cope with overwhelming
feelings, make sense of what’s
changed, or just create a place
where you can breathe a bit easier
The way I work is grounded in approaches that are known to really help — but I keep it relaxed and tailored to you. I might draw on things like CBT or ACT (which are just different ways of making sense of thoughts, feelings, and stress), along with attachment and trauma-informed ideas that look at how our experiences and relationships shape us.
I also think about the bigger picture — like family, school, and the people around you — because life doesn’t happen on its own.
And when it comes to grief or loss, we go gently. There’s no rush to “move on.” Sometimes it just needs space to be felt and understood. No diagnosis. Just genuine interest.

How we connect
Let's be creative. Your session, your way
In person
Grab a cuppa and relax in the newly furnished counselling rooms in Randwick, Sydney.
Telehealth
Find a quite, private location of your choice to have a session...home, work, a park, even at school
At school
Some schools allow external practitioners to provide counselling on school grounds. Naturallly, this would require consultation with school staff, and parents

If something here resonated, I'd love to hear from you
